Description The Mauler has significantly more conversion work than the rest of the warpack, as I wanted to show the model using a very recogniseable Dire Troll trait: 'snacking.' The original pose has both hands open, in a threatening pose well away from the troll's mouth - impressive, but not much help if I wanted to show the Mauler eating something...
The closed fists have been sculpted from Greenstuff, and the arms were assembled higher than normal - one warding off the enemy by shaking a meaty fist at them, and the other helping to tear a Shredder apart. To reposition the arms, I've re-sculpted the model's shoulders and upper arm muscles.
Since taking these photos, I have added some gloss varnish to the bits of gristle and gore - lending a bit more visceral realism to the meal.
