Description This is a Buccaneer light warjack, painted as part of a commission project in 2007. Like the Mariner, this model is partially re-painted from an earlier (all metallic) colour scheme.
The armour plates are painted with Greatcoat Grey (P3) and Earth (Vallejo) and highlighted using some Vallejo Khaki. I used a small piece of sponge (torn from a blister-pack insert) to stipple on rust effects. I'm quite pleased with the results, as it produces much finer detail than I could hope to paint on with a brush.
The second picture is a bit dark - actual colours are closest to those seen in the first image.
