Description Grogspar is a Trollkin, and so needed to have their trademark blue-green flesh. I've been using Reaper's "Marine Teal" up until recently, but I decided to give Privateer's "Trollblood Base" a try - after all, it's what the paint was designed for...
The paint handles much better than the Reaper colour - smoother coverage over a black undercoat, and it dries more slowly. Drying time is getting more important as we move into summer. Having an extra few seconds to work with the paint is a huge help when it comes to blending highlights.
Of course, no self-respecting pirate Bosun would leave home without an appropriately stripey shirt. I'll be painting a lot more stripes on the remaining crew members...
