Description This is a Mariner heavy warjack, painted as part of a commission project in 2007. It's actually a partial re-paint, as the original colour scheme used entirely metallic paints and weathering techniques.
The armour plates are painted with Greatcoat Grey (P3) and Earth (Vallejo) and highlighted using some Vallejo Khaki. This is the first time I've tried using pieces of sponge (torn from a blister-pack insert) to stipple on rust effects. I'm quite pleased with the results, and will keep experimenting on the other models in this army.
