Forums

WargamerAU.com
WargamerAU is the largest miniature wargaming forum in Australia, and home to a good community of gamers and modellers. I've been part of the forums since early 2001, and I'm currently an administrator for the site.

Oz Painters
A forum for the Australian miniature painting and sculping community. An excellent resource for painting tips and feedback, the site also has a strong focus on supporting the creative side of the hobby.

Privateer Press
Privateer Press produce the Warmachine and Hordes miniatures that fill my Gallery page, and they run a very popular forum. Good for early warning about new releases, and interesting tactical discussions.

Painting, Modelling and Hobby sites

Battle Bunker
One of the best wargaming stores in the country, based just north of the Melbourne CBD. Viv has been running Battle Bunker since early 2009, and the store currently has six tables available for wargaming, all of which have some great terrain. The store is open until late seven days a week, and is home to a growing games club.

Back 2 Base-ix
Back 2 Base-ix produce a great range of resin bases, including bases in the "rolled shoulder" format used for Warmachine and Hordes.

BrushThralls.com
The Brushthralls team produce a series of excellent tutorial articles, focussing on Privateer Press figures.

CNC Workshop
CNC produce a range of MDF scenery kits for tabletop wargames. I use their paint and equipment racks to bring some semblance of order to the chaos on my desk.

Tiny Souls
Miniatures by another Australian painter, Zordana. You can find pictures of her work, commission info, and painting tips on her site.

Tournaments and Conventions

Arcanacon
Arcanacon is held over the Australia Day long weekend each January. Arc is home to the largest Warhammer 40k event in the country, and will host the Australian Nationals tournament for Warmachine and Hordes in 2008.

Conquest
Melbourne's Easter games convention. Conquest hosts a broad range of gaming systems, and is home to a decent collection of trade stalls as well. Purple Mantis will be running a trade table at Conquest 2008.

UniCon
A games convention run by members of the university gaming community - particularly Infinite Images (Melbourne) and MURP (Monash).
